One of the most widely used grades is Monel 400, comprising 27-33% copper and 63% nickel. Monel K500 forged tees, with two outlets at 90 degrees and enhanced mechanical strength, contain aluminium (2.3-3.15%), titanium (0.6-1.0%), and slightly more copper at 28-34%. Another grade, often used in chemical and marine industries, is Monel R-405. It has high sulfur content for improved machinability.
