The widely accepted standard for stainless steel 304L fittings is ASME SA403, catering to wrought products for pressure piping. Manufacturers aim to follow tight tolerances and employ strict quality testing to meet these specifications.

We issue a radiography test report with our deliveries and include full traceability in the Mill Test Certificate. Generally, an ASME SA403 WP304L reducer gets subjected to NDT, flattening, corrosion resistance tests, dye penetrant testing, and other procedures per client needs.

Buyers can order these products in sizes 1/2 to 48″. But DIN 1.4307 seamless fittings are usually manufactured up to 10 inches.

What are the advantages of using an A403 WP304L tee and SS 304L weld fittings in corrosive and high-temperature environments?

Corrosive conditions demand robust and resilient products. A stainless steel 304L pipe fitting fits the bill perfectly, boasting admirable resistance to atmospheric corrosion, organic acids, alkalis, and water. It suits setups like milk processing, kitchen equipment, and architectural moulding. However, we don’t recommend a UNS S30403 WP304L tee for tackling nitric acid or sulphides.

High-temperature conditions are not a problem for this material since it handles up to 1650°F or 899°C. While SS 304L fittings can withstand severe conditions, their continuous use in the 800–1500°F range should get monitored to avoid embrittlement.

An SA403 WP304L pipe end cap also shows durability and long operational life in extreme conditions without extensive maintenance. Moreover, an SS 304L stub end is budget-friendly compared to more premium alloys.
